Overview

About Gynaecological Surgery

When medical treatment is not enough, surgery can offer lasting relief. Wherever it is appropriate, Dr Makanda uses minimally invasive techniques, such as laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and hysteroscopy, which usually mean smaller scars, less pain and a quicker return to normal activities.

Before any operation you will have time to understand why it is recommended, what the alternatives are, the possible risks and what recovery looks like. Procedures are performed in theatre at Melomed Private Hospital, Mitchells Plain.
