Dr Makanda offers initial fertility investigations for you and your partner, treatment of common causes such as ovulation problems, and sensitive support after pregnancy loss. Where advanced fertility treatment such as IVF is needed, you will be referred appropriately.

Initial investigations for couples who have been trying to conceive, including hormone tests and ultrasound.
Preconception counselling
Preparing your body for pregnancy: supplements, vaccinations, medication review and managing existing conditions.
Ovulation disorders
Diagnosis and treatment of irregular or absent ovulation, including ovulation induction where suitable.
Tubal patency assessment
Tests to check whether the fallopian tubes are open.
Family planning and contraception
Advice on all methods, including IUDs (loops), implants and injectables, with insertion and removal.
Recurrent pregnancy loss assessment
Compassionate investigation after two or more miscarriages to look for treatable causes.
